The Harley-Davidson® Milwaukee-Eight® with it’s four valve head platform needs to be treated differently from the 1999-2016 two valve head twin cams.  The stock M8 has a very different ratio of intake and exhaust flow.

The Red Shift Cam 468 was specifically designed for the M8 to get the best performance out of it.  A lot of time was spent testing the design and the timing to maximize the power and torque from the factory engine.

This video explains the differences and why they created a brand new design specifically for the M8 cylinder head.

The goal is to provide great low and mid range torque with plenty of horsepower at the top end.

The Red Shift 468 Cam has very unique timing to work around the unique design of the M8 cylinder head and provide optimum power.

Test have shown that the bolt-in cam can produce better torque and throttle control than some of the stage II or stage III kits on the market.

If you have a newer model Touring or Softail then consider adding the Red Shift 468 Cam along with some new push rods and a performance muffler.  You’ll get a great performance boost without emptying your wallet.

The 468 provides instant acceleration below 2,000 RPM while pulling strong to 6,000 – really shining in the 2,000-4,000 RPM cruising range. Cranking compression is unchanged for easy starting, and proprietary Red Shift Cams® ramp design delivers quiet operation and long valvetrain life. Works well with the factory Touring header pipe as well as aftermarket racing exhaust systems.
