Klock Werks Flare Windshields are extremely popular and there’s good reasons why… While I admit they are a great looking windshield, that alone would not be enough to make them so popular.  Their success comes from finding that perfect balance of Form and Function…

They don’t just look great, they also improve your safety by stabilizing your bikes front end at higher speeds and that provides a more comfortable riding experience.

That is known as a Triple Threat!!!  LOOKS + SAFETY + COMFORT

The Quick History of Klock Werks Flare Windshield Design.

In Sept 2006 the Flare Windshield was born.  Brian Klock was looking for a way to add front end stability to his Harley-Davidson Road Glide at high speeds (while chasing a land speed record).  A design was created and tested in the A2 Wind Tunnel.  The results were awesome with the front end of the bike lowering down as the wind speed increased.

In 2009 Klock Werks Flare Windshield won the V-Twin Product of the Year Award.  It became the #1 selling aftermarket product in the V-Twin community.

The Flare design kicks the air up and over your head which creates a dead air pocket between you and your windshield.  This eliminates that turbulence you normally feel smacking you in the face.  You get cleaner air to breathe and no bobble-head action.

Less turbulence means a more comfortable ride.  Your eyes and skin don’t feel dried out after a long ride.  Even your arms feel better because it’s taken less physical effort to hang on and control your bike.

Other benefits of the altered airflow include your hat staying on and your radio sounding better for you and your passenger.

Klock Werks Design & Manufacturing.

All Klock Werks Flare Windshields are manufactured using Double-side Hard-Coated Polycarbonate for superior strength and durability.

It’s the same material they use for bullet-proof glass and Nascar windscreens.  The last thing you want is your windscreen shattering in your face while you’re cruising down the highway.

The curve of the side hips acts like a snow plow or an ice breaker ship, forcing air to the side of the bike.  This helps keep your bike heading in the direction you aim it rather than being pushed sideways by inconsistent wind reistence.

How To Find The Correct Height Flare Windshield For You.

We all have a different ride position based on your height, your seat, your bike model, your handlebar setup and your posture.  It’s important to find the right height Flare Windshield for You.

Don’t just go for a taller version because you think you need the extra height.  You want to make sure that you can see over thetop flared section because looking through it will give you a distorted view.

You want to find the height that allows you to see over it clearly and still kicks the wind up over your head so it’s just washing over the top of your helmet.

Take the time to work out which height suits you perfectly.
