This Custom Fatboy Build Caught Our Attention…

At Rollies we see a lot of parts go out every day but we don’t often see where they end up unless the owner tags us in a photo on Instagram.  This build caught our attention because there are a ton of parts that went into it and thankfully for us “The Harley Roadshow” have documented the entire build for everyone to enjoy.

A Custom Fatboy Build

Follow the complete build as this fire damaged ugly duckling transforms into a high powered show piece.

All this work is being done by Romi and his team at GRM Performance in Hoppers Crossing, Victoria.

Part 1:

In part 1 of this series we tear down and prepare this 2010 Harley Davidson Fatboy for a full GRM stage 6 performance upgrade, send off all tins for a complete re paint, accessories for powder coating and prepare the engine and gear box for the upgrade and increase in power.

Part 2:

In part 2 of this series we build the stage 6 engine for this 2010 Harley Davidson Fatboy, gaining a 90% increase in horsepower, we also install an ULTRACOOL oil cooler with thermo fans to help the engine cope with the extreme heat that will be produced, and prepare the gear box for the upgrade and increase in power.

Part 3:

In part 3 of this series we continue the build of the stage 6 engine for this 2010 Harley Davidson Fatboy, gaining a 90% increase in horsepower, we have a set back with the Wheels but continue to power ahead.

Part 4:

In part 4 of this series we install and modify 16″ bars to suit the install of the Legend Air Suspension and push button controls on the handle bars.  These air shocks  

Part 5:

In part 5 of this series we continue the build of the stage 6 engine for this 2010 Harley Davidson Fatboy, gaining a 90% increase in horsepower, In this episode we install and modify 16″ Burleigh high ball bars to suit the install of the Legend Air suspension and push button controls on the handle bars. We also install a DYNOJET quick shifter.

Part 6:

In part 6 of this series we continue the build of the stage 6 engine for this 2010 Harley Davidson Fatboy, gaining a 90% increase in horsepower, In this episode we install new P&M brake callipers, a new 2 into 1 Vance & Hines performance exhaust and put all the repainted tins back and get this beast started.

Part 7:

In part 7 and the final of this series we complete the build of the stage 6 engine for this 2010 Harley Davidson Fatboy, get it on the Dyno, tune it and test ride it and hand it over to Mike, the bikes owner . Follow us for this complete build as we take this ugly duckling and transform it into a show piece. All this work is being done with our friends at GRM Performance in Hoppers crossing.
