The LINBAR Engine Guard Story…

It all started in 1993 when Per Lindby modified a stock Harley-Davidson engine guard that he wasn’t happy with on his own bike. He cut it into pieces and flipped the top corners 180 degrees to create the LINBAR…

His friends thought it was a cool design and asked him to make more for them.

Per Lindby didn’t have the fabrication skills back then to build more engine guards from scratch so he hired a local guy in Anaheim to make him 10 sets. He invested his life savings to produce the first batch and it was a great decision.

With the money made from selling the first 10 engine guards, he followed that up with a batch of 40 more and took them to the Laughlin River Run in Arizona.

Selling the engine guards from a rented tent shared with a girl selling bikinis (smart marketing), Lindby sold out over that weekend.

Now, decades later Lindby Custom Inc sells their engine guards World-wide and we are proudly bringing them into Australia for Aussie & Kiwi riders to have access to them.

The LINBAR Engine Guard

The patented design of the LINBAR provides a more comfortable riding position over stock.  The foot placement is 2″ to 3″ lower than stock guards which puts less stress on your hips while cruising.  Rollies now carries stock of the LINBAR Engine Guard for most Harley-Davidson models and selected fitment for Indian Motorcycles, Yamaha & Honda models.
