SP Concepts – Hand Made Quality
They use solid 16 gauge wall stainless steel to make their 3-step headers, which are hand TIG welded with a brushed stainless finish. These pipes not only look great, but they also provide a noticeable boost in power over stock pipes.
The Big Bore version, in particular, has stepped headers, 1 3/4″ to 1 7/8″ to 2” at the collector, an anti-reversion chamber after the collector, and a stepped baffle of 2 1/4″ – 2 1/2”. The muffler body is 4 1/2” in diameter, all of this provides a deep, throaty tone and great power across the board.
The LaneSplitter version of the SP Concepts Exhausts also uses stepped headers, but with a single baffle of 2 1/4 inches all the way through. The muffler body is an industry standard 4 inches in diameter, which creates a similar deep tone but with a bit more raspiness. It still provides great numbers across the board, but it falls a bit shorter than the Big Bore version. It’s perfect for stock motors, but it may be limited for larger motor builds.
