2024 Street Bob 114ci – S&S HPT496 Cam

The S&S 496 cam is fast becoming a favourite for BIG power in 114ci & 117ci engines.
This cam added 33 horsepower, which is a 40% increase. There was also a noticeable ‘increase/change’ in torque.
The stock cam makes early torque, but it only lasts between 2500-3000rpm, then falls off the cliff. The S&S cam moved the peak torque slightly back to 3000rpm but then held peak numbers from 3000-5000rpm.
At 4500rpm there is about 15 ft-lbs extra. S&S are not wrong with their sales pitch on this cam!
